      Melody Agbunag, MD


      Dr. Melody Agbunag is board certified in adult and child psychiatry. She completed her residency at Albany Medical Center in New York.

      Dr. Agbunag has been working with children since 1989. She specializes in psychiatric evaluations as well as medication management.

        Mark Reeves, PhD


        Mark Reeves, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who graduated with honors from Florida State University, and is part of the training faculty at Florida State University’s Psychology Department. Dr. Reeves has researched and published extensively, and presented nationally, on the assessment and treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder.

        He has experience with a wide range of clients, and specializes in adolescent and adult psychotherapy, and psychological testing. He works with individuals, couples, families and groups.

          Evelyn Smith, BSN, MSN

          Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

          Evelyn R. Smith, ARNP, began her nursing career as a RN. She has experience in a variety of clinical settings including emergency room care, RN Case Manager, and Psychiatric Nursing. Ms. Smith became a part of the Apalachee team as a Psychiatric ARNP in March 1997 until September 2005; she returned to Apalachee in June 2012 as a Psychiatric ARNP. Her professional specializations include Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Florida Board of Nursing. She has been awarded with the National Institute of Mental Health Nurse Traineeship award in 1989 – 1990. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Ms. Smith has over twenty years of Psychiatric Nursing experience.

            Nancy Fruin, ARNP, MSN

            Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

            Nancy Fruin, ARNP, MSN, began her career as a nurse. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California. She is educated as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Fruin has many years of nursing experience and has worked at various clinical settings throughout the country and overseas. Some of her professional affiliations are American Nurses Association; Florida Nurses Association; Advance Practicing Nursing Council, Tallahassee; American Psychiatric Nurses Association; and the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.

              Marie Bruner, ARNP

              Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

              Marie Bruner, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, attended the University of Florida where she completed academic and clinical coursework for certification as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with Specialization in adult mental health. In addition, she graduated from Emory University where she obtained her Masters degree in Nursing with emphasis in education and rehabilitation and Florida State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She has over twenty-two years of experience in the field of nursing and over eighteen years of experience as an ARNP. Some of Ms. Bruner’s professional affiliations are the American Nurse’s Association, National League for Nurses, and the National Organization of ARNP. In 2012, she returned to the Apalachee Center as a Psychiatric ARNP working with adults.

                Lourdes Quiray, M.D.


                Dr. Lourdes Quiray is board certified in general, child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as neurology. She completed her residency at Connecticut Valley Hospital. Dr. Quiray has been working in the Psychiatric field since 1993.
                Dr. Quiray’s professional memberships include the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Association of Philippine Physicians of Florida Panhandle, where she served as Vice President in 2012.

                  Thomas Thieman, MD


                  Thomas Thieman, MD, is a licensed and Board-certified psychiatrist, who holds a diploma in Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Thieman completed his residency in Psychiatry at Topeka VA Hospital in Topeka Kansas. He has served as the Medical Director for various Community Mental Health Organizations. Overall, he has provided medical direction and direct patient care for the following programs Child Crisis Stabilization Unit, Crisis Stabilization Unit, Detoxification Unit, Substance Abuse Residential Unit, and Mental Health Halfway House. His professional affiliations are Florida American Psychiatric Association; Psychiatric Society, Pasco County; Medical Society, Florida Medical Association; and Rotary International. In addition to his professional career, he has served in the United States Army as a Battalion Surgeon-Captain.

                    Judy Ognibene, M.D.


                    Dr. Judy Ognibene is board certified in psychiatry, as well as neurology. She graduated with her medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine and completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
                    Dr. Ognibene has had clinical privileges to practice Medical Management, Psychopharmacotherpy, Psychiatric Evaluations, Psychotherapy, Evaluation and Providing Testimony for Civil Commitment, as well as Evaluations for Criminal Courts. (I could also mention her publication and presentations she has given)
                    Dr. Ognibene has returned to work at Apalachee Center, having worked here before from 2008-2010.

                      Jill Brabant, ARNP

                      Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

                      Jill Brabant, ARNP, attended Upstate Medical University, where she holds a Post Master’s in Advanced Family Psychiatric Practitioner. She began her career as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and worked in this field for 18 years in the state of New York before becoming an ARNP. She is experienced in providing counseling to adults, children and families.
                      Her affiliations include being a member of ANA, NY State and Local RN, Sigma Theta Tau as well as NEI Global.

                        Sandra Walker-Anderson, ARNP

                          Susan Horton, Medical ARNP, began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, and holds a Post Master of Science Certification from Florida A&M University. Ms. Horton has over 20 years of experience in the medical field. She has worked in various medical and clinical facilities throughout Florida. Ms. Horton has received numerous honors and awards including Outstanding Patient Satisfaction Award from Orlando Regional Medical Center.

                            Lisa Perkins, ARNP

                            Medical ARNP

                            Lisa Perkins, Medical ARNP, received her Master of Science in Nursing from Florida State University. Ms. Perkins began her career working as an RN at the Archibold Medical Center in Georgia. She has had over 20 years experience working in Public Health, correctional facilities, and other medical facilities.
